 A.) For coated inserts it is 3-4 weeks for a new design and 2-3 weeks for a repeat design.

 
Q.) What is your standard lead-time for dovetail and circular form tools? 

 A.) Standard lead-time is 1-2 weeks.

 
Q.) Can several form tools be designed on the same datum?

 A.) Yes, by doing so it reduces setup time when changing from one job to the next.

 
Q.) What material can the indexable inserts be made from?

 A.)The insert can be made from various materials but the most common are micro grain carbide, T-15 or Rex-76.

 
Q.) Can the same tool holder be used for several jobs?

 A.) Yes, that is the one of the advantages of the design is that you are able to install different anvils and inserts with different forms into the same holder.

 
Q.)What is the minimum quantity of carbide inserts that may be purchased? 

 A.) We have a 6 pcs minimum order.

 
Q.) Do you cut forms in square shank tools for rotary transfer machines such as Hydromats?

 A.) Yes, we make cutting tools for rotary transfer machines. Most of the tools are made from 3/8" or ½" square shank Micro 100 carbide brazed tools or from solid T-15 material.

 
Q.) Do you make form tooling for metal planers?

 A.) Yes, we make tooling for metal planers used to manufacture brake dies.
