Q.) What is the standard lead-time for mill-to-pattern knives?

 A.) The standard lead-time for mill to pattern knives is 4 to 6 weeks.

 
Q.) What types of materials are the mill-to-pattern knives made from.

 A.) The most common material used is D-2 and M-2 but other materials can also be used.

 
Q.) How large of pattern can be cut?

 A.) Currently we can cut patterns up to 12 inches.  Many of the larger patterns are used for log cabin profiles and siding.

 
Q.) What information is needed to properly design the cutting bits?

 A.) In order to properly design the cutting bits we need information about the cutting head such as diameter number of bits and correction factor.  If the correction factor is not known a trace of the cutting head will be needed.

 
Q.) Can you make dowel pin cutters?

 A.) Yes, we can make tooling for either straight of fluted dowel pins.

 
Q.) Do you make bits based on standard patterns?

 A.) Yes,  we make mill to pattern cutters based on either standard pattern or your own custom designed pattern.
